Wes Kirkland has been directly involved in the maintenance, deployment and design of remotely operated robotic solutions for almost 10 years. In 2008, he started his career in ROV services for the offshore oil and gas industry and soon diversified into on-shore projects, servicing a wide range of industrial clientele. It was during this time that he was first introduced to Inuktun; he has been a strong supporter ever since. Wes has managed personnel, equipment and numerous projects ranging from deep water drill support, to custom engineered solutions, to assessment of difficult to inspect pipelines. His understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the remote inspection market along with a commitment to innovative solutions makes him a perfect fit for Inuktun.
